GERBER model 475 Hunter-Skinner knife with exotic African Zebrawood handle, orig sheath; great overall condition. Manufactured in the US in the 1970th; hard-to-find long-discontinued model.
Vintage long-discontinued Gerber Legendary Blades model 425 Hunter-Skinner; comes with the original correct-model Gerber leather sheath. The knife was hand-finished at the Gerber factory in Portland, Oregon in the 1970th. I have a number of vintage American-made collectible knives in the store, please take a look at the store’s American Blades section.
The knife looks unused; the edge is factory-original; the tip is intact. The blade is mirror-polished 440C stainless hardened to respectable Rc 57. Deeply sculptured finger-grooved handle is exotic South African Zebrawood with brass spacers and polished silver-nickel handguard & pommel; all parts are tight with no play. The knife is about 9-1/2″ / 24.2 cm overall; the blade is about 5″ / 12.7 cm long. Original model 425 leather sheath is included. The sheath had a small cut on one side of the belt hanger that was repaired; a few scuff marks here and there are noted for accuracy.
Very attractive and scarce Gerber “oldie” – this GERBER model 475 Hunter-Skinner knife with exotic African Zebrawood handle is getting harder and harder to find these days, especially in better grades; this knife will a great addition to any collection. Please don’t forget to check out our Militaria section for other WW1 and WW2 era combat knives, including German WW1 era trench knives, vintage USAF WW2 Pilot Knives and a couple of rare WW2 “OSS Drop” knives we offer for sale.
