Scarce long-discontinued vintage Magnum Folding Hunter lockback folder with exotic West African zebrawood handle scales with original sheath; unused condition. Manufactured from 1975 to 1987 by Gerber Legendary Blades in Portland, Oregon, USA; a desirable 1970th 1st production run (no dots in the frame’s interior). Original purchase price for Magnum in the early 1970th for $43.30 – a lot of money back than! Magnum was one of the best large folders Gerber ever made.
This beauty is about 7-7/8″ / 19.8 cm opened; satin-polished blade is about 3-1/4” / 8.3 cm. The blade is 440C surgical stainless, hardened to 57-59 Rc on the Rockwell scale and hand-honed at the Gerber factory for a superior edge. Original factory edge is razor-sharp; the tip is intact. The frame and the pivot pin are made of solid brass; handle scales are exotic African zebrawood. Original leather sheath is unused as well. Scarce knife in general and VERY rare in unused condition. This early Gerber Magnum Folding Hunter knife type hard-to-find in unused condition nowadays. Don’t miss your chance to add this vintage Gerber Magnum Folding Hunter knife to your collection!
