Scarce Grand Duchy of Finland gold coinage, Nicholas II era 1903-L gold 20 Markkaa is Almost Uncirculated condition. About 21.3 mm in diameter, weights 6.45 grams; reeded edge; hard to find year as only 112K were minted in 1903. Large quantities of Russian Imperial gold were repeatedly traded-in and melted down during the World Wars and during the tumulus inter-war years; only a fraction of the original Imperial mintage survived to this day.
