Vintage CASE XX 1965-1969 Kiowa R703 model Hunter-Skinner knife, original “basket waive” leather sheath; rare UNUSED condition.
Vintage W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery model R703 Kiowa Hunter in original Case XX “basket waive” leather sheath in rare unused condition; made in the US circa 1965-1969. R703 Kiowa was part of the Case XX 1960th “Indian” series; this specimen is the original 1960th “no dots” 1st run. Nickel-silver guard and pins, full tang construction; laminated rosewood handle scales are excellent; all parts are tight. Ricasso is stamped CASE•XX / STAINLESS / USA on one side; R703 / SSP on the other. The knife is about 9-1/4″ / 23.5 cm overall. Satin-polished blade with the Kiowa Native-American profile etching is about 4-3/8″ / 11 cm, original factory edge; the tip is intact. Brown leather sheath is super-embossed CASE XX on the front. The sheath is also unused; the leather is soft and supple. Nice vintage 1960th CASE XX 1965-1969 Kiowa R703 Hunter-Skinner in hard-to-find unused condition; this knife will be a welcome addition to any collection.
