Australia SLR rifle L1A2 bayonet, original metal scabbard included. Designed for use with SLR rifle – the Commonwealth version of the Belgian FN FAL; circa 1960th manufacture; very good overall condition.
Post-WW2 era Australian manufacture (no markings on the grips, pommel, or the ricasso); slightly used condition; the blued blade still has the original factory edge. Some minor paint loss on the handle and scabbard; bayonet release mechanism is perfect and 100% functional. This bayonet/fighting knife is about 11-5/8″ / 29.5 cm overall; the blade is about 7-5/8″ / 19.5 cm. Ricasso is unmarked; there are no markings on the handle as well. Original black paint on the scabbard, it has not been re-painted; there is no frog.
This Australia SLR rifle L1A2 bayonet and original scabbard have not been cleaned or tampered with in any way, it is in 100% original “as is” condition. These are the actual photos; spent brass is not included with the lot 😉 We have a few more British, Commonwealth, and American WW2 era combat knives and bayonets, as well as several scarce WW1 fighting daggers and trench knives from other countries available for sale – please take a look in our Militaria section.
