Unique American WW2 theater fighting knife, original hand-made leather scabbard included. Rare one-of a kind “Bowie-tip” style blade WWII Fighter in great overall condition, considering the age.

Original WW2 era American fighting Bowie made from whatever materials were available at hand. The overall quality is actually pretty high; the fit and balance are great; this is one hell of a practical sidearm. The double-guard was cut from a piece of brass and brazed to the steel blade; solid cast aluminum  handle has been expertly fitted to the dagger – not a small feat in the rudimentary field conditions.

This interesting fighting knife is about 13-5/8″ / 34.6 cm overall; an up-swept Bowie-tip style blade is about 8-5/8″ / 22 cm; the blade is very sharp still; the tip is intact. Solid cast aluminum handle with integral guard was directly cast on the blade; all parts are tight with no play. Original hand-made leather scabbard is in great shape, considering the age. “Canteen” style lift-up snaps on the keeper and the rear belt hanger; the snaps are nice and tight. Most of the scabbard’s original stitching is intact; one small cut near the tip from inserting the blade too fast and some minor stitching loss are noted for accuracy.

This interesting and certainly one-of-a kind American WW2 theater fighting knifer has not been cleaned or tampered with in any way; it is in 100% original “as is” condition; these are the actual photos. I have more WW2 American fighting knives, as well as several scarce WW1 and WW2 fighting daggers, bayonets and trench knives available for sale – please take a look in our Militaria section.
