AG Russell 1977 Sting boot knife black leather sheath, cocobolo wood handle; unused condition. Scarce small production vintage dagger made in Solingen, Germany; rare this nice.
A classic early A.G. Russell Sting model boot knife made in 1976-1977 for AG Russell Knives in Solingen, Germany. At the time the production facility in Solingen was the only place equipped to make a relatively large quantity of high-end and extremely labor-intensive Sting daggers. The entire knife was made from a single piece of forged steel, then tempered, sharpened, and mirror-polished for a perfect finish.
Rare unused condition; the original factory edge is razor-sharp; the tip is intact. This full-tang construction dagger is about 6-5/8″ / 16.8 cm overall; the dual-edged blade is about 3-1/4” / 8.3 cm. The exotic cocobolo wood handle scales are in excellent condition – no cracks or chips. All parts are tight with no play. The original black leather sheath is also unused; stainless steel boot clip is nice and tight; it is stamped A.G. RUSSELL / SPRINGDALE / ARK.
